Thespians Get Ready For Musical Theatre Showcase

The Payson High School drama departments needs living, breathing, talking plants -- puppet plants, that is, for the spring musical "Little Shop of Horrors."

The department needs to raise $2,200 to rent the puppet plants so they are bringing a Musical Theatre Showcase to the auditorium stage at 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 18.

Payson High School Drama students enjoy their craft. Pictured clockwise starting from the nine o'clock position are: Jennifer Sandoval, Jessalyn Carpino, Seth Scott, Julia Legassie, and Haley Scott.

The Showcaseill feature a variety of performers, musicians, actors and singers.

Admission is free, but donations would be appreciated.

There will also be a silent auction in the auditorium lobby and a dessert auction in between performances.
"We are still seeking performers (adults are welcome, too) and bakers and silent auction items," Kathy Siler, PHS drama teacher, said.

People who wish to participate may contact Siler at (928) 474-2233.
