Anna Mae Deming, 91, of Payson, died Jan. 17, 2008.
She had deep roots in the Mogollon Rim Country and made significant contributions to the area throughout her life.
She was born on a cattle ranch in Star Valley, Arizona to Andrew and Agnes (Lazear) Ogilvie where she lived until she made the "big" move of six miles to Payson when she married James "Jimmy" Deming in 1933. Jimmy and Anna Mae were married at the Natural Bridge Ranch, which is now Tonto Natural Bridge State Park and has a trail named her honor.
Mrs. Deming is survived by her two children James (Nancy) Deming, Mary (Ron) Mullen, her sister Beryl Greb, sister-in-law Carol Ogilvie, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a multitude of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband James, brothers Andrew Ogilvie and Bill Ogilvie, sister Margaret Poncot and great-granddaughter Krystal Mullen.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at the Payson LDS Chapel, at the corner of Aero and Ponderosa St. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. with services immediately following and burial at the Payson Pioneer Cemetery.
