Jack Morris Memorial Organizers Thank All Who Helped

On behalf of the Payson FAN (Friends and Neighbors) Club, I would like to thank all those who participated and donated their time, prizes and money for the 5th annual Jack Morris Memorial Golf Tournament. This tournament is a fund-raiser for an annual $1,500 scholarship for a Payson High School graduate and the balance of the proceeds is earmarked for the football program. As always, the community is so generous to support this great event and I would like to identify those that donated to this year's successful tournament.

Thank you to the following title sponsors -- The Mahoney Group, Mazatzal Casino, SYSCO, Matrix Machine, Dr. John Dacanay, Payson Concrete, Anderson Dental, C Bar C, and Payson Eye Care.

Thank you to the following businesses and individuals as hole sponsors -- Chili's, Macky's, Big O Tire, Terry Morris, Jack's extended family in St. Louis, along with Grandpa and Grandma Hanno and Aunt Diane, Diamond Point Steakhouse, Gary Cordell, Rory Huff, Ernie and Debi Russell, Action Excavating, Pioneer Title, APS and The Door Stop.

Thank you for the prizes donated by Legacy Furniture, Payson Eye Care, High Desert Dentistry, Kohl's Ranch, Golden Distribution, Chili's, Macky's, Fargo's Eileen Daniels, Mikie Halenar, Rim Sight and Sound, Bill Armstrong, Walgreens, Safeway, Pat Willis, Pioneer Title and the Payson FAN Club.

And no tournament can be successful without the volunteers -- Jana Wilson, Vernon Randall, Donovan Thornhill, Connie Miller, Debbie Brown, Judy Cordell, Susie Johnson, Kristi Ford, Mikie Halenar and Tim Dougherty. These people are always willing to support all the sports and other extra-curricular activities the FAN Club raises money for, to ensure our kids, advisers and coaches have what they need to be successful. To date, the FAN Club has raised more than $130,000 for the kids in its four years of existence.

Again, thank you for your continued support of this annual event, and I look forward to many more tournaments and dollars to be raised for the future athletes of Payson.
