A Star Valley creek flooded Sunday night causing multiple roads to be closed.
Houston Creek overflowed its banks shortly after 3 p.m. flooding roads and yards.
Cornerstone Way and portions of Moonlight Drive were closed for several hours until floodwaters subsided and the road were safe to cross, said Hellsgate Fire Chief Gary Hatch.
The water was three-feet high in some places, said Payson Police Chief Don Engler.
The roads flooded after culverts got backed up with debris that had washed downstream, Hatch said.
The roads were reopened around 5:30 p.m., Engler said.
No homes were flooded in the storm and no damage was reported.
Last year Houston Creek flooded in the same location on Aug. 6 and 20 homes had minor flood damage to their property.
