There is not a lot going on in Christopher Creek, except for all the rain.
We are loving the cooler temperatures and the afternoon rains.
It is keeping the fire danger down and the forest green. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't clean up your property.
It is a nice time to work outside and clean up your yards and take advantage of the grant money that is out there.

At the Monday, July 14 fire board meeting, Chief Electra VanEckhoutte introduced Dionne May to the residents in attendance.
Dionne was hired as the new administrative assistant for the Christopher/Kohl's Fire Department.
Everyone welcomes Dionne to the community, and wishes her well in her new position.
If you get a chance, stop in and say "Hi," to Dionne.
Christopher/Kohl's Fire Department is still trying to help pay for tree removal.
The fuel reduction grant is still in effect, and everyone needs to clean up his or her properties.
The Lane 2 Fire in Crown King was kept out of the community of Crown King because they had cleaned up their properties.
Firewise works, and everyone needs to keep moving forward with the clean up. They also need your labor and materials forms. Contact the fire department at (928) 478-4011 and they will get you started in the right direction.
Don't forget Saturday, July 19 is the Howl At The Moon Bingo and Ice Cream Social at 7 p.m. at the fire hall.
There isn't much to do outside when it is raining, so head for the fire hall for an evening of fun and delicious ice cream.
John Heacock will be adding another candle to his cake July 24.
Bianca Malmin of Hunter Creek will be celebrating on July 25. She also works at Creekside, so be sure and wish her a happy birthday if you see her there.
Debbie Aschbrenner, owner of Tall Pines Market, will also be adding another candle to her cake July 25. Wishing all of you a very happy birthday.
