Philden Isom (Phil) White, 69, died July 25, 2008 at home in Star Valley. He was born Dec. 28, 1938 in Mesa.

Mr. White and his family moved to Payson in June 1977.

He owned Phil White Chevrolet in Payson and then Phil White Ford in Star Valley until his retirement in 2007. He was a successful businessman in the community and a lifetime member of the LDS church.

Mr. White fought a vigilant fight against cancer the past five years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Elizabeth White; four children, Colton (Julie) White of Payson, Heidi Hill of Gilbert, Calli Sweeney of Payson and Christina (Colton) Baker of Payson; brothers, Randy White and Bob White, both of Payson; sister, Lela Overson of Mesa; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

He dearly loved all of his family.

Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents, E.G. and Lola White; a brother, Raymond; and a grandson, Mikel White.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 31 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Ponderosa Street in Payson. Viewing will be one hour prior to the services at 10 a.m.

Graveside services will be held at the Mountain Meadows Memorial Park on Gibson Ranch Road following the funeral services.

Immediately afterward, a luncheon will be held at the LDS church in Payson.
