Russell Brandon Weaver, 33, died May 13, 2008 at his home in Madison, Ga., with his family at his side. He was born March 2, 1975 in Mesa.
From the age of 3, Rusty lived in Pine and graduated from Payson High School in 1993. He was also enrolled in classes at the Payson campus of Eastern Arizona College and Northern Arizona University.
He spent the past five years as chief executive officer of Spray Foam Systems, a company he established.
He worked as passionately as he lived and accomplished great things in his short life.
He is survived by his wife, Jenny; daughter, Meghan (TJ); parents, Steve (Beckie) Weaver of Pine and Gay Stidham of Payson; brother, Doug (Erica) Weaver; nephew, Blake; and niece, Doodle, all of Scottsdale; sister, Lindsay (Nathan) Luton and niece, Gabriella, all of Mesa. Additional survivors include stepsisters, Twila (Jonathon) Betts, Sherah Cline and Segan Cline; stepbrothers, Justin (Stacey) Cline and Jody Cline; paternal grandfather, Roger (Maggie) Weaver of Prescott; and maternal grandmother, Beverly Thomas of Mesa.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Maryann Weaver; and maternal grandfather, Richard Thomas.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 7 at the First Baptist Church of Pine.
In lieu of flowers, an account has been established to help with the medical expenses of Mr. Weaver's eight-month battle with cancer. Donations may be made at any branch of the Bank of America in the name of his widow, Jennifer Joubert Weaver.
"Russ was a good soul, full of humor, compassion and kindness," his loved ones write. "It was not the length of his life that made such an impact on us all, but the depth of it that will stay with us forever."
