Free Computer Classes For Small-Business Owners

Gila Community College's Small Business Development Center will be hosting computer workshops for small-business owners and managers July 12 and sometime in August. The workshops offered include:

Computer Wellness Workshop, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 12, free; at Payson campus, Room 402. The workshop will include a discussion of ways to keep PCs safe from viruses and spyware and how to do an annual cleanup.

Web Security Workshop, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, July 12, free; at Payson campus, Room 402. The workshop will include a discussion on how to secure the Internet and how to limit or restrict access by users.

The topics of the August workshops will be "Computer Backup and Recovery" and "Internet Advertising," both are free. They will be held in Room 402 of the Payson campus; the first will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the second will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., on a date to be announced later.
