Ann Patricia Powers-Parker went home to be with the Lord on February 17, 2008, after a short courageous battle with cancer.

She was born October 27, 1956 in Iowa. She lived in Iowa for a short while, moving to Arizona where she stayed until 1974 when she moved to Utah, and returned to Arizona in 1984.

Ann was a wonderful wife to Edward Parker for over 35 years. In those years she had three wonderful children, Daniel Robert and wife Amy, Jeremiah and wife Haley, Jessica and husband John Jeffrey, and daughter-in-law in heart, Kelly Parker. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Jessica, Mackenzie, John Jeffrey, Karrissa and Reece. Ann cherished her grandchildren with all her heart, they filled her with joy, and their little smiles brightened every day. Ann could never get enough hugs or kisses or pictures of her grandchildren. Ann also leaves behind her father, James Powers Sr. and four brothers, James Jr., Daniel, Richard and William and wife Elizebeth. Brother-in-law Robert and wife Patricia, sister-in-law Beverly and husband Robert and sister-in-law in heart and dear friend Beth Smith.

Ann had so many cousins, there are too many to mention. Ann never met a person who she did not consider a friend. When you were with her, it seemed she knew everyone by name.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Powers and sister, Mary Powers.

Ann takes many happy memories with her, her wonderful years with her husband and children, camping and hunting trips were among her favorite things to do. Her children all growing to fine adults, giving her grandchildren. Once you got Ann talking about her grandchildren and how proud she was of them, it was hard to get her to stop.

Ann was a proud recovered member of Alcoholics Anonymous.

A memorial service will be held from noon to 1 p.m. March 8, 2008 at The Shepherd of the Pines, 507 W. Wade in Payson. A potluck dinner will follow from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

The family would like to thank the RTA Hospice of Payson for all their help making Ann as comfortable as possible, with thanks to Greer Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann Parker's name to RTA Hospice of Payson, 511 S. Mud Springs Rd., Payson, AZ 85541.
