Star Valley Town Council: 5:30-6:30 p.m. Star Valley Baptist Church, 4180 E. Highway 260 -- The town council's agenda features mostly updates from town departments and open public comment in the last meeting before the March 11 election.
The Payson Unified School District: 5:30 p.m. at 514 W. Wade Ln. Among scheduled items is a work-study session to discuss the 2008-2009 school district budget, as well as travel requests and a presentation by PinnacleOne Consulting on the progress of the district's bond construction projects.
Payson Surface Transportation Advisory Committee: 4 p.m. March 5. Several issues, including the ongoing discussion of how to slow traffic on Phoenix Street and Mud Springs will occupy the citizen board that advises the town council on traffic issues. The committee will discuss citizen input on slowing traffic as a result of the extension of Mud Springs, open discussion of traffic improvements affecting the highways through town and discussion of plans to raise speed limits on some streets.
Payson Town Council: 5:30. Town Hall Council Chambers, 303 N. Beeline Highway -- The second hearing on a zone change request to allow the 83-unit Mogollon Ridge development on Houston Mesa Road dominates the agenda. The council will also consider a request to allow a private, commercial sign on a town right-of-way along the highway.
