It is finally nice outside and getting warmer. Maybe Easter will be nice and the Easter bunny won't have to hide eggs in the snow.
The Christopher Creek Homeowners Association will have their Annual Easter egg hunt on Sunday, March 22 and it is at 2 p.m. at the top of Friendly Elk Road.
I used to live on that road and, happen to know that the elk are very friendly up there. Just ask Caren and Sam Saey who live up there.
The Easter bunny will be hiding some 450 eggs and they will have prizes for the most eggs found, the least eggs found and prizes for the best decorated Easter bonnet. Plan on taking the little ones to the hunt this year.
Monday, March 17 is St. Patrick's Day. It is a day celebrated by the Irish and non-Irish alike, many people will be wearing the green on this day for it is said to be lucky.
The Irish say that there are two kinds of people in the world, Irish and those that want to be. So here's to all the Irish and to all the wannabes:
Health and a long life to you,
Land without rent to you,
A child every year to you,
And if you can't go to heaven,
may you at least die in Ireland.
May the Lord welcome you in heaven, at least an hour before the devil knows you are dead.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to all.
