Nominations are being accepted for the 2008 Rim Country Business Awards.
Sponsored by Payson Regional Economic Development Corporation and Rim Country Regional Chamber of Commerce, the awards recognize outstanding accomplishments and contributions of business towards the economic health and vitality of our community.
The 2007 award recipients were Cari Day of Macky's Grill and Chris Wolf of Payson Regional Medical Center.
Kaibab Industries was honored as Outstanding Business.
The categories this year are Small Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year and Businessperson of the Year. Some of the criteria for selection include contributions to the economic vitality of the Payson regional area, community impact and involvement, innovation and customer service.
The winner in each category will be announced at a luncheon on May 29 at the Best Western Payson Inn.ttendees will pay tribute to the top three nominees in each category.
Tickets for the lunch prepared by Gerardo's Bistro are available for $25 or $175 for a table of eight.
