The spring is the perfect time to be outdoors in the desert of Arizona with temperatures during maximum heating in the mid 70's to lower 80's.

If you are a parent and looking for a fun-filled and educational day for a family outing in this kind of weather try the Outdoor Expo sponsored by the Arizona Game and Fish Department on March 29 and 30.It will be held at the Ben Avery Shooting range located at 4044 West Black Canyon Boulevard in Phoenix starting at 9 a.m. both days and continuing until the late afternoon.
More than 100 booths and displays will be set up forublic viewing and in many cases have hands-on demonstrations where everyone can get involved in the outdoor experience.
Some of the more popular displays are thep close look at wildlife of Arizona, target practicing with air rifles and 22's, rides on the newest ATVs on the market, and theatch and release family fishing pond.There will no doubt be something of interestrom the Arizona outdoors for everyone who attends.There is no cost in attending and parking is free!

Bob Youtz explains the different kind of eyes one can attach to a fly rod. Each section of a rod has different sized rings or eyes that fishing line passes through. The fly rod building class is being conducted at the Payson Parks and Recreation Department on Saturday mornings, March 15 and 22.
