To my Brother with Love:

Love is the most powerful emotion in the universe. I always heard that love can move mountains, yet it only takes one harsh, thoughtless word or action to make it crumble like fine crystal. Love is a gift to be had by everyone, the magic key is to be at peace within ourselves in order to be able to "see" emotionally and physically) when it is right in front of us.

Never, ever take this emotion lightly, it must be believed in, cherished, respected and given unconditionally. It cannot be manipulated or lied to because love is a pure, transparent emotion that you will see through every time.

When love is present, we are capable of so much more, we are strong, invincible, it pushes us to take chances at new beginnings. We are never scared because we feel protected, it is like being inside this wonderful warm and soft cocoon where no harm will come.

Love is abundant and free to give and take, but it should not be spoken of unless you "mean it" and "feel it." It is a word already used and misused, causing confusion and heartache.

Maybe love is there to teach lessons and make us stronger -- lessons like: As we grow up, we learn that even one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time.

You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken: You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did; You'll cry because time is passing too fast and you'll eventually lose someone you love; So take lots of pictures, laugh lots and love like you've never been hurt, because every 60 seconds you spend upset, is a minute off happiness you'll never get back. Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.

Some say: "It doesn't matter who loves you, that it matters whom you love?" The truth is: "They both matter."

I will always love you. Be happy.
