Here we go again. If ADOT could have the legal authority to remove the necessary material above the 87oadway duringonstruction, this buckle and slide would never have happened.
The environmentalists and the Forest Service will not allow removalf forestand to prohibit the sliding ofaterial on to the roadway.
So for the Forest Service selections of what can be called roadway and what shoulde considered road right of way, we suffer.
ADOT must repair at great expense to the taxpayers, the "mess".If a little more planning had been given and allowed, we could have a safe and slide free road. But unfortunately, our Forest Service has once again proven that their management is just what the public needs.
