Down The Street Gallery And First Friday Art And Antiques Walk Celebrate One Year


Down the Street Art Galley at 703 W. Main, will celebrate its one-year anniversary with a free wine tasting sponsored by the Beverage Place. In addition, the KRIM Radio remote will be there along with a silent auction for the Payson Humane Society.

"Our First Friday show from last month was such a hit that we are holding it over. It's called ‘Then and Now' and features some of our earliest art work along with a biography about why we are where we are and photos of each of us at early ages and stages," gallery founder and artist Minette Richardson said.

It's been one year since the formation of the popular First Friday Art and Antiques Walk on Main Street and it continues to grow each month.

To help celebrate this one-year milestone, the Main Street Grille is sponsoring a free concert featuring Cody Gibson and his band Code Blue. The band will be on stage at Mike Amon's property located next to Eagle Mountain Gifts.

A free shuttle bus will be available along Main Street making a continuous loop between the Main Street Grille and the Community Presbyterian Church throughout the evening. Parking is available at both locations or you can use the free on-street parking that is available all the way to Down the Street Art Gallery and catch the shuttle anywhere along the route.

Classic, custom and sports cars will be on display at various locations on Main Street.

The Main Street Grille is offering half-price appetizers and will have the KCMA Radio boom box. The Community Presbyterian Church where you'll find chocolate delights, hot dogs, handmade products from around the world and live music.

At Bootleg Alley you'll find a top fuel dragster on display and a live performance by a jazz musical group.

The Artists of the Rim Fine Art Gallery is offering special anniversary refreshments. Right next door at Git A Rope there will be more live music.

Gasoline Alley is celebrating the First Friday anniversary with a 10 percent storewide sale. It will have the Kiwanis Club there with hot dogs and brats as well as the Soroptimist Club with See's Candy.
