The Payson Pink Ladybugs will again join the 3-day, 60-mile "Walk For the Cure" to benefit the Susan G. Koman Foundation in the fight against breast cancer. Each walker must raise $2,200 in order to participate.
Please help the Ladybugs meet their goal by giving generously at any of the following fund-raisers.
A Brat, Dog and Bake Sale will be held May 23 and 24 at Wal-Mart. Baked goods and breast cancer items will be available starting at 7 a.m.
Play "Soak the Cashier" (Terry Gould) from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. May 24. Water balloons are 3 for $1 -- so come out and take aim at Terry.
An additional $1 will enter you in the 50/50 contest. Guess the amount of money raised in "Soak the Cashier" and win half the funds. The drawing will be held at 4:15 p.m. and you need not be present to win.
Raffle tickets will be sold through June 28 for some great prizes, including a handmade lap afghan, a purple and pink fleece blanket, a handmade bear and two $25 gift certificates from The Beverage House.
Tickets are $1 or 6 for $5 and may be purchased at the Brat, Dog and Bake Sale or by calling Helen at 472-7811, Lisa at 978-2969 or Arlene at 472-3225. The winners will be drawn June 28 during a fund-raising dinner at the Moose Lodge in Star Valley. Read the Payson Roundup for future announcements.
