Members of Mogollon Health Alliance Auxiliary were treated to a beautiful outdoor luncheonat Main Street Grille hosted by Payson RegionalMedical Centerin celebration of theirannualpring luncheon.
The gathering provided the perfect venue for scholarships to be awarded to Payson residents pursuing higher education in the medical field.
Scholarships of some $20,000 were awarded to 34 recipients as a result of the hard work done by the MHA Auxiliary members.
"It was interesting to see how many people are going back to school to advance their careers and the number of Payson High School students who are ready to give back to our community when they have finished their degrees," said Kathleen Hughes, chief operating officer.
"It was such an inspiration watching as Garrison Levey accepted his scholarship to advance his career," said Judy Baker, CEO of Mogollon Health Alliance.
"Garrison has been a recipient for the pastfive years having obtained his CNA license, LPN license and currently attending classes for his R.N."
Garrison has worked at the Payson Regional Medical Center while pursuing his career path.
In addition to the "Pink Ladies and Gents" there were representatives from Payson Regional Medical Center and the Mogollon Health Alliance Board of Directors, in all, 125 people were in attendance.
"What a beautiful day it turned out to be," said Chris Decker, Mogollon Health Alliance hospitality chair.
"The brief rain storm waited until our activities were complete, almost as if on queue. It was a wonderful afternoon of good friends, good food and good causes."
