Olivia Guerrero, president and chief executive officer of the Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens, has announced the release of the first-ever comprehensive senior and caregiver resource guide for Gila and Pinal counties.
The guide was introduced today at the Governor's Aging Conference being held in Mesa, Ariz.
Partially funded by AARP Arizona, this new resource was developed in response to Guerrero's request for help in growing her agency's capacity to serve the expansive population growth of both older adults and their caregivers in Pinal and Gila counties.
The fastest growing population in Pinal and Gila counties are those age 60 and older.
The new 125-page guide includes contact information for more than 500 resources that may be of help to older adults and their caregivers.
Useful forms for care giving are included as well as a life care planning packet and living will sample.
The book, "Senior Connections" is subtitled as the "Best Ever Community Resource Guide" for older adults and their families.
For further information on how to obtain a copy of the guide, contact Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens, the Area Agency on Aging for Region V, at (520) 836-2758 or 1-800-293-9393.
