An accident on Monday morning north of Payson was not as serious as it appeared, according to Sgt. John Whetten of the Payson office of the Department of Public Safety.
The driver, Carolyn Cook, reportedly looked away from the road and went off the side, over-corrected and rolled her vehicle. It landed upright and she was transported with minor injuries.
A second accident occurred later Monday, resulting in two persons being transported with injuries.
Chief Marty deMasi with the Payson Fire Department said the two people in the car were reportedly ejected. Two helicopters were called in, he said. One victim had head injuries and was transported to Maricopa County Hospital, the second, who had lost consciousness, but was awake at the scene, was transported to John C. Lincoln Hospital.
The bad weather Thursday resulted in three different rollovers due to marble-size hail near the Kohl's Ranch area around noon. There were no serious injuries reported.
