At Payson Library

"Catch the Reading Bug" this summer at the Payson Public Library.

The summer reading program is from June 3 through June 25. Registration is from May 19 through June 7. Due to space limitations, registration is required a week prior to the program.

Children, ages 3 to 12, will have a choice of classes: 1 p.m. Tuesday; 10 a.m. Wednesday; 1 p.m. Wednesday. The program will include singing, stories and puppets.

The class for those ages 8 to 18 will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

This program is free of charge.

At Pine Library

The summer reading program at Pine Library's activity room will also be "Catch the Reading Bug."

It will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon, Friday, June 20; Friday, June 27; Friday, July 11; and Friday, July 18.

The program features lots of fun and educational activities, including the Northern Arizona University Traveling Arthropod Bug Show, Creepy Crawly Bug Café, Jitter Bug Lessons and super incentives to read.

Pine Library will have "Movie Madness" with a family movie at 11 a.m. every Thursday.

Also planned: Drama Workshops for Grades 6, 7 and 8, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. every Thursday and Grades K through 5, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. every Thursday; Wii Gaming, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays; Summer Strings violin instruction for ages 5 to 7, with the opportunity to check out a junior violin for the summer free of charge. Enroll your child at the Pine Library for this program. Details to be announced; and pre-school story time for children ages 2 to 5 at 10:15 a.m. every Wednesday.
