The Fourth Annual Rim Country Quilt Roundup will be held Nov. 13-16. The Quilt Roundup consists of a quilt show, workshops and a merchants mall.
Quilt Roundup workshops will be held at various locations in Payson from Thursday, Nov. 13 through Saturday, Nov. 15.
Teachers include local quilt artists Nancy Bollard, Alyce Leach, Leslie Peacock, Gina Perkes and Sharon Schamber. Pam Bono, Brenda Henning and Candace Norris round out the workshop schedule.
There is still space available in some Saturday classes. Choose Fabric Painting with Nancy Bollard from 9 a.m. to noon, or learn Quilting Tips to Make You More Successful with Alyce Leach in the afternoon.
Full day classes with openings are Colorado Stars (Pam Bono), O Holy Night (Brenda Henning) and Fat Quarter Fun (Candace Norris). Taught by Leslie Peacock, Wearable Art Techniques is a two-day class on Friday and Saturday. Sign up soon, so you don’t miss out.
The quilt show opens Friday, Nov. 14 at Mazatzal Casino and runs through Sunday, Nov. 16. Quilts from Rim Country and around the U.S. will be displayed. Special exhibits include Pam Bono Designs and Bear Paw Productions by Brenda Henning. Evening lectures and treadle machine demonstrations will be presented.
Viewers will be asked to vote for their favorites in five special categories, too. Admission is $3 or $2 plus one can of food to be donated to the local food bank. Children 12 and under are invited to attend free.
The Quilt Roundup awards banquet will be held Saturday evening at Mazatzal Casino. The public is welcome to attend.
Tickets for the prime rib buffet dinner are $30 per person.
Viewer’s Choice and special category award winners will be announced during the evening. Past & Present Boutique will present a fashion show along with quilters modeling their own wearable art.
