Trunk-or-Treat was a good event for all

As we approach that time of year when we celebrate Thanksgiving, I think we desperately need to give thanks to the youth in our community.
Usually, we read about negative happenings in our community, but I think we need to take time to thank all those trick-or-treaters who participated in Halloween activities and behaved in a manner that would make parents proud.
I found that those I came in contact with, while working Trunk-or-Treat at North Rumsey Park, as well as those who came to our home, were polite, well-behaved and a pleasure to encounter.
They and their parents deserve much praise. I’m sure there were some that should learn that a good time can be had without causing damage or injury to others, but they are in the minority.
So, on behalf of my wife, myself and all those residents that only saw the good side of the events of that day, I thank our children for acting responsibly, and we look forward to seeing you again, next Halloween.
