President-Elect Is Missing 50 Million Supporters

Well, it’s done. My hat’s off to the Obama machine and its private money funding.

As for McCain, he lost me a long time ago, but I did vote for his ticket.

We Republicans have no one to blame but ourselves. The last eight years of Bush and Congress (both Republican and Democrats) have been abysmal to say the least. I can fully understand the frustration and anger of the people. I’m one of them.

However, I must reject Obama as my president and leader. Not because of his skin color as some will accuse, but because of his ideology, his values, his associations and his actions.

His spoken words and deeds are the anathema to all that I and millions of others believe in.

George W. Bush as president for the last four years was uninspiring. That being said, he and conservatives in general, did not deserve the constant mantra of “hate” from the left and close Obama associates. Now we are asked to take the hands of those same people and support their president-elect. The election night platitudes of coming together as a nation under Obama are just that.

I’m sorry. I just won’t subvert my core belief system just to get along or get a check in the mail.

In a way, I feel sorry for Obama. To have to live a life continually looking over your shoulder cannot be fulfilling or fun. May he be safe and do the right thing.
