The Payson Village Shopping Center is getting a facelift in the hopes of attracting new businesses and shoppers.
The center, at the intersection of Highways 87 and 260, with a Bashas’ Supermarket, Subway and slew of smaller shops, is under remodel until the end of the year.
Hirani Oil Arizona LLC, which owns the center is adding new stucco, rock facade to pillars and tan paint, similar to the former Country Kitchen that was recently remodeled, said Hirani administrative assistant Aly Roundtree.
Several interested tenants are vying for the Country Kitchen space and Roundtree said the firm hopes to pick a new tenant soon.
“We are trying to find something different,” Roundtree said. “Hopefully it will be a restaurant.”
The shopping center is adjacent to Rim Country Mall, which also received a sprucing up in August.
Larsen Baker, LLC, a commercial real estate brokerage, development and management firm remodeled the facade, complete with new paint in green, tan and gold.
