Christmas tree permits available

Springerville — The Forest Service offers you the opportunity to cut a Christmas tree from the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest. As with any forest product, a permit is required. The cost per permit is $15.
Each family may purchase up to three permits for three trees, any species, up to 10 feet in height, by visiting the Springerville, Alpine, Lakeside, Black Mesa or Clifton Ranger Districts between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some offices will be open on several Saturdays for public convenience.
