Honor the passing of a loved one during the holidays by celebrating their life.
Messinger Funeral Home, RTA Hospice & Palliative Care and the Rim Country Hospice Foundation invite the public to a “Celebration of Life” at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 3 at Mountain Bible Church.
According to RTA’s community liaison, Kathleen Hughes, the event’s purpose is to celebrate life.
This will be the 13th annual Celebration of Life, which provides a beautiful and poignant beginning to the holiday season.
The evening includes prayers and remembrances.
“The most moving part of the evening comes with the tree lighting,” said Hughes.
Music is provided by talented musicians from RTA under the guidance of Lois Atkins. A full-course meal is provided at the end of the evening by Gerardo’s Italian Bistro.
“The Celebration of Life is free of charge, however, there are personalized crystal butterfly ornaments that can be ordered for $12 per ornament.
“We are also requesting each person in attendance donate a can of food, which will be given to St. Vincent de Paul Food Bank, to help those who are less fortunate during the holidays,” said Carol Davison, executive director of RTA Hospice & Palliative Care.
Anyone interested in attending or ordering ornaments should contact RTA Hospice by Nov. 24. Call (928) 472-6340 to make your ornament purchase.
