School and subjects taught: All subjects in elementary grades. Middle school social studies and presently Choices and Challenges, a social and life skills class.

College degree and major: Education, elementary

Years teaching: Eight.

Why do you teach? I enjoy the challenge and my students and what I’m presently teaching.

Words of wisdom: Therefore if you have not been faithful in the use of worldly wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you. Luke 16-11.

Family: Wife, Tania; two daughters, Makayla and Indra; one son, Jacob.

Pet peeve: Trying to be perfect (if so desired) in an imperfect world.

Favorite hobby: Like to take my 2-year-old daughter on the ATV, ride my KTM dirt bike and Harley Davidson.

Person in history you’d most like to meet and why: My wife’s mother. I would like to meet the person who bestowed such great qualities on my wife.

Why Payson? My parents were living up here, and through His grace, an opportunity became available.

Favorite teacher and why? Mr. Plummer. He was my wrestling coach. I highly respected this man.

Favorite subject in school and why? I really didn’t have a favorite subject. It changed week to week, depending on my attitude and that of the teacher.

Favorite year in school and why? High school — freedom, responsibility and the trust of my mother and father.
