Oct. 16: Author Carol Matheson speaks on “Writing Your Memoirs” at 11:30 a.m.; National Boss Appreciation Day.
Oct. 20: Flu and pneumonia shots, 9:30 a.m. to noon, Diversified Solutions. Sign up for appointment
Oct. 21: Rim Guidance speakers Patty Sneed and Debra Shewey discuss “Elderly Stereotyping” at 11:30 a.m.
Oct. 22: “Prime Time Classics” (favorite TV series), 10 a.m.; this month, an Andy Griffith classic.
Oct. 27: Speaker to be announced.
Oct. 29: Steve Miller of Miller Auto Works discusses “The Importance of Winterizing Your Vehicle.”
Oct. 30: Interesting Occupations, Tom Booth.
Oct. 31: Halloween Party — with costume contest, prizes, entertainment, talent show, ghoulish gourmet lunch, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Coming in November: Election Day, Nov. 4; Veterans Day, Nov. 11; Thanksgiving, Nov. 27.
Volunteers of the month: Louis and Finey Staalberg, Thrift Shop volunteers.
