Holding A Race On Local Streets Should Not Be A Problem

In response to Sherwood Drive being considered a race track. Being a local runner here in Payson, I run on Sherwood Drive three to four times a week.

Running, just like walking, should not be a problem for residents. I think you would find many locals who are very interested in the half marathon and have no problem watching runners run by their house briefly on a Saturday morning. These local events are a win-win for Payson and many of the foundations they raise money for.

People from out of town who come here to do these events get hotel rooms and eat at our local restaurants. Which is a boost for our local economy. So in my opinion, having a race through local streets is not a problem.
