Thanks For The All Help

The Payson Supply Line would like to thank some wonderful people in our community for events they have recently sponsored on our behalf.

Thank you to the Swiss Village Shops who united on Sept. 20 to put on a fun-filled event and barbecue to benefit our cause. We especially appreciate the hard work and contributions of Diane Johnson, and Mary and Russ Goddard of DJ’s Home Décor, Earl Chitwood of Chitwood’s Cabinets, and the Mountain Bible youth group who walked along Beeline Highway advertising the event.

We thank all our local businesses who answered the call for donations to help pay postal fees for many boxes going out, and to everyone who attended the event and donated money and items for the troops. Over $3,000 was collected thanks to your support and dedication to our military personnel overseas!

Many of you met two of our local heroes who just recently returned from Iraq and were the recipients of Payson Supply Line boxes: Sgt. Laura Crabtree and Sgt. Brian Langeliers, both with the U.S. Marine Corps. Thank you both for your service to this great country and for sharing your time with all of us during this event.

Thank you to Down the Street Art Gallery and our local brewers for the very successful Octoberfest held Oct. 3, at the First Friday event on Main Street to benefit Payson Supply Line.

What an awesome turn-out by our community with donations coming in at over $600. Thank you to Pat Kroll and the congregation of Mount Cross Lutheran Church for their donations of handmade prayer shawls which we are including in our boxes. Names of the recipients are provided to Pat, who is just one of many at the church who pray for these individuals. Your are all a blessing to our troops.

Thank you also to Shelly Dunman and the rest of the congregation at the LDS church who put a call out to their congregation for donations of items. We were blessed and overwhelmed by the amount of goods provided.

These will help fill many boxes being sent to our dedicated men and women in the war zones. On behalf of them, we thank you so much. Many blessings to all of you and everyone in our community who has contributed to make the lives of our men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan a little better!
