Fireman's Appreciation Event A Success

On Sunday, Aug. 24, KRIM Radio and the Rim Country Optimist Club hosted a Fireman's Appreciation Barbecue at Mt. Cross Lutheran Church. Almost 400 people were in attendance, making it one of the most successful events in Rim Country.

I would like to thank the unselfish volunteers who gave so freely of their time and talent. My dear friends, Junction 87, the Rim Country Optimist Club, Mt. Cross Lutheran Church, Ron and Marsha Hester of Appliances Plus, Steve Perry from Pepsi of Payson, Mike from Holsum Bakery, Brad Crabtree from US Foods, Jon Robinson, Troop 354, Charlie Franks (the Ultimate Elvis Tribute), Bill Reeder from TV62 and Kit McGuire from KRIM Radio, and all the volunteers who helped pay tribute to our firefighters of Rim Country.

It was a day to remember, and we'll see you all again next year.
