Payson's school board could decide Monday to lower fees for parking permits at the high school.
The agenda lists discussion on clear guidelines for establishing a financial hardship, goals for spending permit revenues and the fee itself.
The matter arose at last month's board meeting after a parent reportedly asked the district what exactly constituted a hardship exemption. Superintendent Casey O'Brien told the board that the district's attorney advised tightening the definition.
A parent at that meeting said she considered the fee exorbitant, and requested the board reduce or eliminate it. She also said a promised parking lot attendant, financed through the fees, never materialized.
