Payson resident Garland Mognett, 84, died Sept. 6, 2008. She was born in Cordele, Ga. and grew up on a peanut farm as one of 11 children.
She married Ray Harralson in 1944 and moved to Tucson where they raised four children.
She worked as the graduate admissions officer at the University of Arizona until retirement.
She married Frank Mognett in 1976 and they moved to Payson where they loved to play golf.
After her husband's death, she stayed in Payson and worked at both Kaibab Industries and Payson Concrete.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Bob) Harman of Wellton and Denise (Ted) Williams of Tucson; son, Greg (Paula) Harralson of Tucson; grandchildren, Heidi Harralson, Philip Harralson, Kenton (Johanna) Harman, Kristopher (Courtney) Harman, Kasey (Rhett) Billingsley, Kathryn Harman and Catheryn Williams; great-grandchildren Danny Harralson, Andrew Harman and Kaleigh Brown; sisters, Mary (Bud) Hopkins, Sara Childers, Vera McGlamry and Thelma Collins; and brothers, Hardy Stephens, Zara Stephens and Wayne Stephens.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Harralson.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 12 at First Southern Baptist Church.
