After reading in various papers about the comments made toward, and about Barbara Brewer, I felt compelled to take the time to write a short response letter of my own.
First of all, I am a retired engineer. Consequently, I try to base my findings on facts rather than assumptions or rumors. I believe that I have known Barbara Brewer longer than those who would speak and write false statements aimed at lowering the respect and admiration that she strongly deserves. She has a heart of gold and is a very hard worker who stays on task until she has all the correct information about whatever task is before her.
She has many qualities not found in today's politicians, but what she does have are the right ones. When Barbara was mayor of Payson, she could be found at many public gatherings.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that her reasoning was to serve the people of Payson, get out there and be with them, and find out what they have to say.
I am not a politician, but believe me when I tell you that when Barbara Brewer was mayor of Payson, her decisions were based on knowledge and facts to determine the best course to take for the people of Payson.
As your representative of Gila County, she will do exactly that but at a higher level.
Well you say, "Sir you are just a blowhard, and really don't know Barbara the way me and my friends do!" I'm her brother.
