Junction 87 will perform at the Payson Humane Society Benefit Dance from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday, Sept. 19 at Mazatzal Casino.
In addition to non-stop dancing, the event will feature live and silent auctions and the auction of the cover of the 2009 Payson Humane Society pet calendar.
Auction items include one of the small bronze elks in front of Western Village (courtesy of Sue Malinski), a one hour scenic flight over Payson donated by Richard Henry, a limited edition "Cowboy Santa" with certificate of authenticity, a hand-painted chandelier, plus numerous paintings, bronzes, and much more.
Tickets are $10 at the door or call Kathleen at (928) 303-5065 for advanced table sales. Reserved tables are available for $120 for a table of eight, which includes a free raffle ticket for each person at the table.
In fact, those with reserved seating are eligible for a special raffle. Reserved seats are also the best seating at the dance.
Attendees are encouraged to bring gift certificates for pet food.
All proceeds go to the Payson Humane Society Building Fund. PHS needs to raise $3.6 million to build a new animal shelter to replace the old house where they have been located for more than 30 years.
The new 15,500-square-foot, soundproof facility will be built on two acres of land directly behind the current shelter.
The space will be allocated 80 percent for animals and 20 percent for people.
