The Majestic Rim senior living facility has changed its name to the Good Samaritan Society Majestic Rim.
Jeannie Price, a universal worker at the facility, said the name change was done nearly four months ago to put the Good Samaritan name front and center.
The facility offers independent living for seniors. Currently there are 46 residents at the 50-unit facility.
“They have to be totally independent,” Price said of residents.
The senior facility opened in June 2006, and offers residents their own one or two bedroom apartment as well as a community meal at lunch, a spa and exercise room, a pool table, several places to play cards, reading room, mail room, barber and beauty shop.
The Payson facility, at 310 E. Tyler Parkway, is part of the larger Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society, which has provided care to seniors for more than 87 years.
The Good Samaritan Society is the largest not-for-profit provider of senior care and services.
