Sheriff's Detective Honored By Gila County Attorney

Gila County Sheriff's Detective Johnny Holmes, has been named Officer of the Quarter by Gila County Attorney Daisy Flores.

Four times each year, the county attorney's office recognizes a member of the law enforcement community for superior service in the prosecution of criminal matters. The county attorney reviews numerous recommendations, but selects the officer who at the time best illustrates an exemplary attitude and work ethic.

Holmes began working with the sheriff's office in 1999. He was promoted to criminal investigator in June 2005.

"Holmes has been an asset to the Gila County Attorney's Office. He is readily available to serve warrants as soon as they are issued, prompt when needing information on evidence, and always willing to locate pertinent information."

Holmes is a life-long resident of Globe-Miami, a family man, he is the father of four children, ages 21, 19, 18 and 10 years old.
