Not Everyone Who Lives In Payson Is A Conservative

Seems to me that the old Roundup has taken a decided turn to the right since ownership changed a while back.

Most of the letters to the editor that are published have a conservative bent, the cartoons on the editorial page lean conservative and Jinx Pyle now thinks he’s a political commentator. And if anyone disagrees they’re guilty of being against freedom of speech.

About the most prolific letter writer is the one who thinks that climatologists from 120 nations are enviro/wackos because of a book he read from the Payson library.

Now, I’m all for freedom of speech, but it should be, to adopt the motto of a news organization that isn’t, “fair and balanced.”

Maybe it’s just that conservatives write more letters. If that’s the case I don’t want to accuse the Roundup of being biased. But you might want to take a look around. Not everyone who lives in Payson is a conservative anymore.
