Easter week is here! When my children were little, it meant new clothes and new shoes, along with a new bonnet and purse. In many ways I miss those times when all the five kids would be dressed up and ready for church.
They knew that they could not have any of their Easter basket candy until after church. Time marches on, and now I look forward to watch my great-grandchildren hunt for the Easter eggs and fill up on Peeps and chocolate Easter bunnies.
The trees and the shrubs and the spring flowers are popping up everywhere! Spring is such a wonderful time for renewal for all of nature’s wonders.
Forsythia bushes are blooming profusely and brings to mind many memories for me when I was a little girl.
Forsythia bushes bloomed right around the time of Mother’s Day and I would pick a bouquet for my mom and present them to her. How excited she seemed to be.
All of these memories come to mind at this time of year, and they are such good ones.
I hope that you can create your own memories and keep them to remember from time to time. In the meantime, Happy Easter to all of my readers.
