In addition to her university coursework, the online Internet campus magazine Plaid Weekly currently employs Carpino. She also is involved with KJACK, the school’s student-run radio station.

Her first semester in the Fall of 2008, she obtained a 4.0 grade-point average.

She is the daughter of Payson residents, John and Luann Carpino. She is currently working on a dual major of arts education and theater studies.
