The Payson Roundup / Pound of pot found in home

A pound of marijuana and a half-gram of cocaine were seized from a Payson home April 3, and two men were arrested.

Jordan Hinton, 18, and Ruslan Mamedov, 23, both of Payson, were arrested and booked into the Gila County Sheriff’s Office on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mamedov was also charged with possession of narcotic drugs, according to a press release from the Payson police.

The Payson Police Department assisted the Special Enforcement Unit with a search warrant on the home in the 200 block of West Elm Street.

During a search of the home, a pound of marijuana was found along with approximately a half-gram of cocaine. Several drug paraphernalia items were also found.

Marijuana charges against Hector Preciado, 18, of Payson, and two female juveniles in the residence at the time have been forwarded to the Gila County Attorney’s Office.
