Chrisy’s Cottage owner Chrisy Wickstrom says she plans to sell more jewelry, soaps and small knickknacks.
With shoppers favoring smaller, inexpensive items over large furniture and expensive antiques, one local shop is downsizing its merchandise and prices, but not its sense of shabby chic style.
Chrisy’s Cottage, in the Swiss Village Shops, is dumping its pricey furniture and adding more designer clothing, fashion jewelry, French soaps, bath salts, unique gifts and accent pieces.
Chrisy Wickstrom said she needed to change to meet the needs and wants of her customers.
“Antiques and high-price items are a thing of the past,” she said.
