Rim residents of all ages are invited to attend meetings of area garden clubs. The High Country Garden Club meets the first Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at First Southern Baptist Church, the Rim Area Gardeners meet at 7 p.m., Thursday at the Payson Public Library. The High Country Garden Club will have a plant sale at 8 a.m., Saturday, May 2 at the Walmart parking lot.

The Payson Senior Center serves a hot meal at noon weekdays in the dining room at 514 W. Main St. No membership is required. Cost of the meal is $3 for persons 60 and older, $5 for those younger than 60. Meals also can be delivered to homebound individuals. Reservations must be made one day in advance. April 24 and 25: 16th Annual Beeline Cruise-In and Car Show at Green Valley Park.

April 27: 9 a.m. Old Time Music Makers Free Concert.

Volunteer of the Month

Would you believe Betty Dahl? Because of our circumstances and limited activities, Betty has been named Volunteer of the Month for January, February and March, but we were unable to have a ceremony. That practically makes her Volunteer of the Quarter.
