Buck Storm, on stage, gather a group of dedicated Christians to the stage as he sings a song of communion and commetment during the Resurrection Celebration in Rumsey Park, Saturday, April 11.
Performing "Let My People Go" to the tune of "Louie, Louie", these enthusiastic youngsters braved the weather and performed well.
The starkly bright white chairs braved the rain while people well dressed foro the inclement weather were better prepared.
When the threat of a spring storm arose, plans were made to take the annual Resurrection Celebration inside, but the decision was made to keep the event in the open air and beauty of Rumsey Park. The Payson Ministerial Fellowship sponsored the program, which featured contemporary Christian recording artist Buck Storm and performances by local church praise bands and groups.
There was much activity in the face painting area, as well as the heaters that were provided. The air was filled with positive conversation and high expectation of the celebration of resurrection.
Many children performed “Let My People Go” to the tune of “Louie, Louie”. Imagine that. And well done it was, too.
