A 59-year-old woman was injured Thursday afternoon while riding her trike motorcycle through Strawberry.

The out-of-town woman was heading south on Highway 87 just outside of Pine, when the front wheel came off her three-wheeled motorcycle, said Pine-Strawberry Fire Captain Joel Brandt. The woman’s husband, who was riding nearby on another motorcycle, was uninjured.

One lane of traffic was closed briefly until the woman could be transported to Payson Regional Medical Center.

Brandt did not know the extent of the woman’s injuries.
