The ladies from Christopher Creek and Tonto Village got together for an afternoon of dominos last week. Thirty-two ladies enjoyed a delicious potluck and a fun competition of dominos at the Christopher Creek Bible Fellowship.
Gifts were given in several categories. And the game winner was Linda Stailey with the lowest score. The quietest was Mimi Tidwell, the loudest was Sandy Kalmar, the good sport went to Eileen Kittock, smartest was Vicki Grootegoed, funniest was Betty Starr, most considerate went to Nancy Yokum, fastest was Corky Cook, “is it my turn” went to Dara Sutton, kindest went to Eillen Kittock, whiner went to Judie Desrochers and loser with the highest score went to Corky Cook.
I really hated to refer to some of these ladies as losers, whiners and loud, but it was just a game of dominos, and a lot of fun.
Watch for animals
If you are driving on Hunter Creek Drive you need to drive slow. It is open range and cows are everywhere with their little ones, and you don’t want to hit one.
Not to mention the little white tail deer and the elk in the area. Please drive slow.
Birthdays
Karen Thornton will be adding another candle to her cake on Aug. 13, and Holly Purtee will be celebrating another birthday on Aug. 15. Wishing both of you a happy birthday.
