Ladies at the Aug. 1 afternoon retreat at the Christopher Creek Bible Fellowship Chapel were treated to a dynamic speaker, Nancy Sullivan, who spoke from the heart and touched all those in attendance in a special way. On Saturday, Aug. 1, 19 ladies attended an afternoon retreat at the Christopher Creek Bible Fellowship Chapel. These ladies got to enjoy a dynamic speaker, Nancy Sullivan, who spoke from the heart and touched all of them in a very special way.
Nancy and her husband Russ, along with their four children, have been missionaries to Thailand.
Ray and Joy Ruetz of Payson have housed the family of six recently and have had a wonderful time learning of their experiences.
Kathy Mason made beautiful table displays of fresh flowers for the day retreat. Eileen Kittock supervised the kitchen with all the ladies sharing their favorite salads.
Nancy’s husband Russ shared with everyone on Sunday and everyone got to meet the family and learn more about Thailand and their missionary work.
Everyone was very thankful for meeting them and visiting with this very special family blessed by the Lord.
I am still here!
Anyone out there from Christopher Creek who would like to write this fun column and provide updates and happenings around our community? I know there is someone out there. If you have any questions, feel free to call me at (928) 478-4519, and I will be happy to help you.
If interested, please call the Payson Roundup at (928) 474-5251 and ask for the editor, Tom Brossart.
Caretakers
I was really glad to know there are a lot of people who read my column. I had an overwhelming response asking for a caretaker. We were very fortunate to find a nice couple — Dane and Robin Gudex who will be moving in and taking over in a few weeks.
Thanks to everyone who called and was interested. I got to meet some really nice people.
Birthdays
James Turco of Hunter Creek will be adding another candle to his cake on August 17. Paula Hall who works at Tall Pines Market will be celebrating her birthday on August 18. Red Armistead of Hunter Creek will add another candle to his cake on August 19. Mary Helen Garner will be celebrating on August 21 and so will my friend Hazel Gourdoux of Ponderosa Springs. Kyle I would get the fire extinguisher out just in case for the cake. Just kidding Hazel! Wishing all of you a happy birthday.
