Second Fireman’S Appreciation Barbecue Was Bigger And Better

The second annual Fireman’s Appreciation Barbecue took place Aug. 9 and was attended heavier than last year. Over 400 folks, including firefighters from all districts, enjoyed a free barbecue generously hosted by KRIM Radio and the Optimist Club of Rim Country.

I would like to thank the Optimist Club of Rim Country, STUGO, Scout Troop 354, Safeway, Bashas’, Giant Gas and Convenience Store, Brad from U.S. Foods, Darla and Roger Annabelle from Crosswinds and The Knotty Pine, and last, but not least, Junction 87, who donated their time so unselfishly to entertain all of us for the second year in a row.

My sincere gratitude and thanks to everyone who helped me make this a gigantic success! Most of all, thank you, to all the firefighters from all entities who sacrifice their lives every day so that we may be safe. We’ll do it again next year!

Suzanne Michaels, station manager,
