Rodeo Reunion Was Great

This year’s Rodeo Reunion was a great get-together for these old friends, from ranching to rodeoing, all had a connection here.

We had some past rodeo queens, one from Texas. Good crowd, good food, good music and stories! The visit and stories carried over to the night performance of the rodeo. I think these old friends enjoyed themselves.

Our Sambo Haughty memorial golf tournament was won by Buddy Morris’ team. Hooter Haught’s team was dead a—- last. Thanks to everyone that played. Lots of fun was had by all.

We would like to thank the merchants that donated to our prize drawings, Payson Jewelers, Git A Rope, El Rancho, Knotty Pine Café, Crosswinds Restaurant, Rim Liquor, Rusty’s Taxidermy, Dorothy Anderson, Candle Factory, Walgreens, Bashas’ and Walmart.

Thank you to Jim and Jackline Emmick for the delicious coleslaw.

A big shout out for the golf hole sponsors — Jinx and Jayne Pyle, Steve Miller Autoworks, Barry Beach, Dorothy Anderson, Travis and DeeDee Stodghill, Lynda Kountz, Randy Paulson (Stars), Billy and Helen Hardt, Hooter Haught, Arnold and Betty Broos, Ronnie McDaniel, George Randall, Vietnam/Legacy Vets Mountain Chapter, Ernie and Sherry Ralls, Roy Haught, Harry and Sharon Shill, and J.R. Holmes.

Thank you to the Ron Gibson band for the music.

Hope I didn’t miss anyone. Thank you all so much for your support. Hope to see you next year!
